On 14
November 1923, parts of the governorate's Minusinsky and Achinsky Uyezds were
merged with one volost of Kuznetsky Uyezd of Tomsk Governorate to form a new Khakassky
Uyezd. On 19 March 1924, the Siberian Revolutionary Committee (Sibrevkom)
approved the enlargement of the governorate's uyezds (districts). On 23
June 1924, a new Turukhansky Uyezd was formed in the governorate. Its
Yuzhnaya Volost was formed on the part of the territory of Antsiferovskaya
Volost of Yeniseysky Uyezd. After that, Yeniseysky Uyezd itself was abolished
and its remaining territory split up between the Kansky and Krasnoyarsky
Uyezds. At the same time, Daurskaya Volost of Achinsky Uyezd was transferred
to Krasnoyarsky Uyezd. Also in
1924, parts of Znamenskaya and Tashtypskaya Volosts of Minusinsky Uyezd were
transferred to Khakassky Uyezd. The former territory became a part of
Charkovskaya Enlarged Volost, while the latter was merged into Tashtypskaya
Enlarged Volost. The
governorate was abolished on 25 May 1925, when it was included into the newly
formed Sibirsky
Krai along with the territories of Oyrat
Autonomous Oblast and Altai, Novo-Nikolayevsk, Omsk, and Tomsk
Governorates. Achinsky, Kansky, Krasnoyarsky, Minusinsky, and Khakassky
Uyezds of the governorate were at the same time transformed into okrugs,
while Turukhansky Uyezd was renamed Turukhansky Krai and transferred to
Krasnoyarsk Okrug. The
Krasnoyarsk Okrug became the Krasnoyarskii Krai on 07.12.1935 It is the

Arms: Azure, a Red-breasted goose (Branta ruficollis Anserid) flying to the sinister proper. In chief a four-rayed sun Argent. adopted 25 05 1998 [3]
Flag The flag
of the Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenets) Autonomous Okrug was adopted on 23 May 2000 Branta ruficollis Anserid Symbolism: The Red-breasted goose. The main places for its nesting
are located in the Taimyr tundra. The bird is depicted in flight, which means
the district will move further towards progress. The blue field symbolizes the grandeur and beauty of the
vast Taimyr expanses, the country of a thousand lakes and rivers, which
permeate the entire territory of the peninsula. The blue also indicates that
the Taimyr Peninsula is washed by the waters of the Arctic Kara Sea and the
Laptev Sea. The silver sun disk reflects the whiteness of the
northern snows and the sun is also a symbol of the warmth that the
northerners really need. According
to some interpreters of symbolism, the white disk can symbolize the Samoyed nanny sangarin - hole in the sky -
the North Star, from where peoples souls come and go, according to Samoyed
mythology. The
author of the coat of arms is Vladimir Sergeyevich Taranets, chief artist of
the Taimyr Folk Art Center. [4] |
